Overview

This product is to help all sort of professional get more involved in there community and helps them put there best talents in touch with the people that can use it the most!

Work

My Role

As a UX expert, my primary responsibility is to delve into our users' challenges and devise effective solutions. My tasks range from developing initial low-fidelity wireframes to crafting detailed high-fidelity prototypes.

The Problem

A key challenge we identified is the difficulty professionals face in connecting with suitable non-profit projects that can benefit from their unique skills.

Research Approach

Our research foundation was built on insights from the non-profit community. Leveraging my personal volunteering experiences, I gathered valuable perspectives from fellow volunteers. To balance this with a user-centric focus, I conducted extensive online research and competitive audits. This dual approach helped maintain our emphasis on user needs. Following the creation of a low-fidelity prototype, I conducted a usability study and employed the System Usability Scale (SUS) to gather quantifiable data for informed design decisions.

Outcome

The Solution

We aim to establish a dynamic platform that enables communities to mutually benefit from the diverse talents and skills acquired over their lifetimes, fostering a more interconnected and supportive environment.

"I feel like I can really help a lot more using what I am good at instead of just generally volunteering. It makes me feel like my work really matters."
- Participant in usability study.

This project is for the Google UX certification. I received my certification in May 2022 and have been continuing my UX/UI journey.
